🌈 Rainbow Crafts and Activities 🌈

Spring is in the air! That means rain, sunshine, and rainbows! Explore red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet with these rainbow crafts and activities! They are sure to brighten your classroom and put smiles on your students’ faces.

From the first day of school, I always tell my students that “rainbow” is my favorite color. They get so excited when do anything with rainbow colors so I know they will love all of these crafts, experiments, games, and activities!

🌈 Rainbow Poetry Craft 🌈

Let the colors of the rainbow inspire you as you write your own poems! Choose from acrostic options for ROYGBIV or RAINBOW or a color words option. The choices make it easy to differentiate for your students. This poetry project makes a beautiful display for your classroom or hallway!

🌈 Colors FREEZE Movement Game 🌈

Get moving when you learn about colors and rainbows! If you’ve never tried FREEZE, I promise your kids will love it. Here’s how you play:

  1. Give each student a picture card
  2. Play some music. As the music plays. students trade picture cards.
  3. Pause the music and everyone must FREEZE!
  4. Pull out a “Who has…?” card, such as “Who has blue?”
  5. Anyone holding that card is a winner!
  6. Start the music and play again!
