Standards

Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases:
10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones – called a “ten.”
The numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine tens (and 0 ones).
Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits, recording the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, and <.
Add within 100, including adding a two-digit number and a one-digit number, and adding a two-digit number and a multiple of 10, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used. Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do, does).
Recognize and read grade-appropriate irregularly spelled words.
Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose opinion pieces in which they tell a reader the topic or the name of the book they are writing about and state an opinion or preference about the topic or book (e.g., My favorite book is…).
Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to narrate a single event or several loosely linked events, tell about the events in the order in which they occurred, and provide a reaction to what happened.
Write opinion pieces in which they introduce the topic or name the book they are writing about, state an opinion, supply a reason for the opinion, and provide some sense of closure.
Write narratives in which they recount two or more appropriately sequenced events, include some details regarding what happened, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide some sense of closure.

Reviews/Ratings

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is an awesome product and variation to the 100 days. The ideas and variation of activities was so thoughtful and well planned. I really enjoyed working on these activities with my students and my students were so engaged in their learning. Thank you!”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fabulous activities! My kids loved them and I loved the change up from the 100th day.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We decided to change things up and celebrate the 101st day of school instead of the 100th, since we wanted to do something different than kindergarten does. It was a great decision! The kids really enjoyed dressing up like Dalmatians and participating in the activities included in this resource! It was a fun day!”
