Valentine’s Day Charades is the perfect February activity! This classroom game is practically no prep, but it keeps everyone engaged from start to finish! Students will read, write, and practice new words while having fun! There is even a Valentines Day writing extension activity for after the game.

Why would I play charades?

• Practice in a FUN way
• Builds vocabulary
• Improves confidence
• Promotes creative thinking

How do we play?

1. One student will silently act out a word.

2. Other students guess the word.

3. When someone guesses correctly, ALL the students trace and write the word on their recording pages.

4. Continue playing until every word has been acted out and recorded.

Do we need teams?

No. This is a whole class activity so there is not one winning team.
